Community Dinner: Perspectives on the Green Transition in Shipping
On January 15, we hosted a Community Dinner at Station, bringing together students for an evening of dialogue, shared food, and insights into the green transition of the maritime industry.
The event combined a company talk with an informal long-table dinner - creating space for both professional insight and open conversation.
Zero-Carbon Shipping in Practice
We were honoured to welcome Tanja Ebbe Dalgaard, Chief Energy & Fuels Impact Officer at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping.
During her talk, Tanja shared perspectives on the key obstacles and opportunities facing the shipping industry in its transition toward net-zero emissions. The discussion explored:
Technological innovation in fuels and energy systems
Regulatory and strategic pathways toward decarbonisation
The importance of cross-sector collaboration
The complexity of transforming one of the world’s most vital industries
As an independent, not-for-profit research and development centre, the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping works to accelerate climate action in the maritime sector through partnerships, technology development, and systemic change. The talk offered students a concrete example of how large-scale transformation unfolds in practice.
Following the presentation, participants gathered around the long table for dinner and open discussion.
